SciFi and Fantasy Art: Rodentstine

I tried experimenting with fur texture and light direction; didn't seem to work out very well in the end. No layers used. Took me around two hours from start to finish.

Are you saying that you did this in Photoshop?! I would have guessed Prismacolors on pastel paper... Your texturing is absolutely amazing. I, the colored pencil addict, bow down to your computer geniusness. WOW.

I think you have the same problem I do, painting hair. How to get one strand to have highlights and shadows along its length. Let me know if you ever figure it out. Beautiful, by the way.

He looks EEVILLLL! My favorite part about this pic is how you made it go from fluffy and soft-looking at the top, to scruffy and rough-looking at the middle, to sketchy at the bottom! I attempted that with pencil, but I stunk. I can't even imagine how you did it digitally!
