SciFi and Fantasy Art: Entering Inle

I thought that maybe I should put something I finished on here.. I don't usually color my work, simply because it takes me so much time. This was for school (draw your concentration falling from the sky with ribbons tied to it) so I was given time to work on it every day. I hated my art teacher's projects, but the ribbons on him really added a lot of effect once the were colored in. People in my class complained that he looked like he was underwater, hence the bubbles.. but others thought he was diving into the water, which is why his paws are positioned so. Somehow that penciled horizon turned black (I think I messed up, so blacked out the whole thing with a Sharpie), so my mother said it was scary, hence the title (If anyone has read 'Watership Down', Inle was somewhat like hell.. it represent everything they were afraid of; disease, famine, fire.. etc) So. Now it's a big blue dragon, with a little brown bird and a little green demon (you can't really see him) diving/swimming/flying into a big black thing that emits a yellow light. Pencil, Ink, Colored pencils, Sharpie markers for the 'Inle' bit, and the backround is watercolors. ^_^ Enjoy.

I lerve the Watership Down reference. Inlé also stands for The Moon (just like Frith is the sun), which I thought was strangely fitting for this picture. It's absolutely gorgeous, and I love the shading. . Wonderful all around!

This is such a cool dragon, my am I ever overusing that word. Better adjectives needed. It's colourful, exquisitly done- better, better....

I love this work. Really great. However it kind of hurts me that your piece was so affected by other's comments. Nevertheless, a great piece.
