SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Dawn/Death of the World

When I was little, my Dad used to read me 'The Chronicles of Narnia' all the time. I must've gone thru them about twenty times during those years, and they made a pretty big impression on me. I even chose my pen name based on one of the characters in the first and second books. ;-) This painting is my view on two events from the first book, 'The Magician's Nephew'. I always saw the death of Jadis' world and the birth of Narnia the same way, and the photo I did this painting from was very similar to that. Acrylic on 5x7 canvas board, done for my friend Ashley's birthday. ;-)

If you like those books may I suggest the books by Lynne Ewing called "The Daughters of the Moon" and also Amaelia Atwater-Rhodes's books are also amazing. Keep up this beautiful work.
