SciFi and Fantasy Art: Lysupi Darkspawn

I'm drawing things again. Whoop-dee-doo. This be one of my more recent attempts with the pencil and ink. As you can see, it didn't turn out very well. Nothing I've tried lately has turned out very well, but I'm still doing my hardest to make these attempts. Hey, I'll never be able to draw well if I don't practice, n'est pas? Anyways, this's Lysupi, the main character in a series of stories I'm writing right now. (You can read 'em by going to my library. They're the ones at the very bottom of the scroll.) He's immortal, but not in a good way, exactly; hence the tears. I won't bother to explain the whole thing here; you can read the stories if you really want to know. *hint hint* He's supposed to be wearing some sort of dragon scale armor, but it kind of didn't turn out... I'm more or less happy with his face, though, and I prefer his hair as this spikey mess. Used to be just straight down his back.

This is loverly, one of my favourites so far, and i think i might just go and read those books and then send a copy of my half written novel to you if you want :. The best inspiration for me is the landscape around me, tip: look at ordanairy objects like a tree, (i love drawing trees!) and see all the differnt shades and try out as many shading patterns as you can. This might help you get the feel of your dragon-scale armour good luck!
