SciFi and Fantasy Art: Aloof

Someone here on Elfwood drew a most wonderful picture of a girl in a similar position... if anyone knows who that is I'll be glad to link her. No real story behind this one...

I love this picture ^.^ Very clean lines, you can CG it if you want *smiles* My 2$ for this drawing would be to use more shading, make her come alive, and make this an even nicer drawing. With which medium did you colored this? I think that for portraits like this you can better use a pencil so the shading part is more easy, and just go with the flow.

The thicked ink lines are meant to be like that... heh. I have no patience for shading...

I knew it!!!! i've seen this pic...it's the character of one of david edding's books, Ce'Nedra...i've seen the original pic. it's gorgeous, ain't it??! you're is a great copy though the hair could have been more than a few squiggles...well, at least u draw. i can't even do that! *pouts*

I've never-ever seen the original... nopenope. -shakes her head.- Never! -yawns.- Drawin' Squiggles, m'dear, is an art in itself.

I agree, the hair needs to be a bit more full, though squiggles is a hard art to master. 1 She looks very regal and knowing, yet cocky at the same time, like she would be looking down on someone and thinking, "You know that I'm better, so stop your bitchin'."

It's good, but there are such strong similarites between this piece and Timothy Keith Brumbaugh's Dryad Princess that it makes me wonder.

Maybe you should give him credit if this wasn't your idea.
