SciFi and Fantasy Art: One Who Would be a Hero

An experiment using Painter and Photoshop. I think my computer painting still needs a lot of work. (and a tablet) But I have tried to remain true to the original concept of the sketch. It symbolises the sacrifices that must be made.

What are you talking about, this is fab work. I think the colours are great for it, it's a battle scene and quite bloody, and the dark tones lend a great atmosphere, not everything happens in the day! This is great, keep up the neat work! ^_^

hey there! sorry its taken me like forever to get here. lessee... yes its bloody and violent *cries for the dragons* BUT! drawn/painted VERY well, especially considering youre using a mouse. I think I'd go nuts if I tried to color something like this that way. I like the texture on the dragons, but the feet/hands look funny, too large and.. stiff? I always base my dragons' feet on bird feet, it helps, but thats just me. I love the armor!! I dont think Ive ever seen orange armor before *grins* she looks brighter than everything else (and I especially like that dragon head peeking behind her >=)
Thanks for your comment Sarah, I know the feet are funny, it's a good idea to base them on birds, i'll have to try that.
You didn't like the topic 8 I'll have to do a dragon revenge pic some time 2

Basing the feet on birds can help, I sometimes use cat like feet it depends on how you want the dragon to look, if you are going for a more reptilian feel, then birds feet work well. I think it helps to study many differnt kinds and find what works for you. Birds feet tend to be a bit thinner and less muscular then you might imagine a dragon having.

Nice pic, and I love the colors. I kinda reminds me of a game-no offense or anything-just looks like a cheesy game. But I like it nonetheless.
