SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Wyvern picture in colour

Ok, I finally got around to colouring it in. I have tried to go for a more realistic feel here, using colour pencils.

great! I like the colors, purple and yellow, seems somehow fitting. not to mention that armor is..wow. The little squiggly lines on the purple on the neck give it a nice texture too

I really dig the design of the wings, and the way they're folded up and leaned on--very strange, but feasible, and not something I've seen before. The knight seems a bit small in the leg, and somehow, a bit tall--as if the wyvern's making eyecontact with his chest. I'd kinda like to see a version with someone crouched on the ground, looking defiant prior to the Last Meal, or something, but...I'm a little odd that way.

The back feet are little too small I think. I think dragons, as well as wyverns, should have BIG feet. They need something to grab on to people and stuff with. I like the idea that u made him walk on his wings, looks kinda like a bat. Well visit my site... I too am a dragon artist that may grab your intrest 2

I was just thinking of doing something like this only instead of having the dragon/wyvern leaning on his elbows fesable for a more birdlike dragon I was thinking of making the weight placement be around the wrist area. either way this is a stunning picture, you are truely great with colored pencils

I really the softness of this pic. That creature looks more friendly so the soft colours seem more effective for the mood. Really great background too. I love this style.

woah...this is really amazing! I love how its crawling on its wings like that one in Jurasic park 3 (Loved Jurasic park, loved the lost world, but i HATE jurasic park 3...the birds were cool though!) the knight looks like hes asking for peace...not fighting...

:-) Emerson Ward replies: "Yeah, they fell down with Jurassic park 3, thanks Andrea, i know the knight isn't clear in what he's doing, maybe he'll sort himself out oneday 2"
