I find that doing two studies is helpful. One on birds of prey and one on cats. Figuring out where to mix them is the hard part for me, though. Like, if bird bones are hollow, how would a gryphon, with muscular cat body and rear, land on those delicate bird front legs without breaking them? But maybe the bones are different in a gryphon?
