SciFi and Fantasy Art: Sayuri, portrait

This is my latest work - and the fruit of my first (and maybe only) access to a pen tablet! I really like how this one turned out (except maybe for how wobbly my hand was..) I think I'll try to do my faces this way from now on. This is a greatly reduced image - the original is about 2000 pixels wide. The woman's name is Sayuri - the same 'ninja' character that I've illustrated before. You can find the other image of her in my gallery.

3 Jan 2004	Eleanor Moore-Boyd	Loading... Killer. I got a tablet, but I use it 'cus it's faster than a mouse in my RPGs. Not so good for my drawings, but okay for corrections to pencil at large zoom on Adobe Elements. She's good. You should see my first tablet drawing. Or not. I deleted it out of embarassment, mine was so scrawly.

16 Oct 2007	Jeremy Nelson	Loading... While a graphics tablet is the best artistic invention since oil and canvas, for nice clean line art, I use the pen tool in photoshop. It may take a little longer, but the final result is clean and beautiful.
