SciFi and Fantasy Art: In A Dark Place

He seems to have wondered into a very dark place and stumbled upon this interesting orb. What's reflected in the orb that he doesn't see? Are those eyes?

I designed the costume myself ^___^ yay.

Drawn with pencil and pen then colored in Photoshop CS2.

Oh this one made me think! Nice coloring and shading. Kewl!

:-) H. England replies: "You like? Thanks!"

Oh-noes, don't touch Dx neeever touch shiny things you don't know what is - you might get roasted like a peanut D=
But I hope he realises what is right behind him D= he looks nice, it would be bad if they ate him.
I love the folds on (in? xD) the clothing, they look 'right'. Perhaps except those on the blue thingy that aren't shaded, but with that light source I don't think they should be shaded.
Eh ...that was not very helpful ^_^;
And yay for the clothes =D and the reflexion in the orb *nod nod*

*clears throat* since the first commenter didn't do something like it... *second comment big-and-flowy-skirt-spin*

:-) H. England replies: "I'm surprised the fabric folds turned out as well as they did. But practice makes better! Glad U like!"

Okay. You know what I'm thinkin? That is SO Howl. Those clothes are totally reminding me of Howl from Howl's Moving Castle.

:-) H. England replies: "Really? O.o I actually was inspired by Final Fantasy, what with the giant useless shoulder plate and all (no, this is NOT Sephiroth. No.). I didn't think of Howl at all while I was doing this. "

I absolutely adore your working of colour! The combination you used adds nicely to the cold abandoning theme to the picture.. really makes you feel lonely, and yet not ALONE.. if you get my drift?

I love the way you designed the costume! XDD The orb is really spooky, too. If I were in a dark place and I saw that, I'd have a heartattack and die! XDD ^-^ Well, maybe I'd panic first. Haha. It's very well done.

:-) H. England replies: "I'm glad you like it, oneesan ^____^ But please don't die *gives you a candy*"

Hallo, I'm in the middle of your tour (it's a really good one). I have to say, I like this one, especially the crisp colors, the light on his face versus the dark background... very appealing. I also like the bubble. I find bubbles hard to draw realistically.

Hm! I agree that it looks like final fantasy, but those shoulder plates are not useless!

:-) H. England replies: "They are if you have a blinding resillience to attacks in the first place... in that case they just get in the way, I'd think. I mean, if you can get blown up in a nuclear reactor and wake up with just a few scratckes you wouldn't think you'd need a shoulder guard. Especially if it's only on one shoulder O__O But they look cool. ^______^"

Hummmmmmmmmm, yeah, I kind of see now. But I still think it looks like Howl, especially the clothes.
