SciFi and Fantasy Art: Welcome Home

The kanji on the girl's shirt and at the top is ryu, and it means "dragon" in Japanese.

Oh, yes. Hidetsubu, O-Bakemo; Toshi; Master Yamabushi; Pessimistic Kannushi; Kami of the Ancient Winds are all very somehow related relatives of myself. So is Borborygmos. Poor Borborygmos.

Nice use of photoshop! I really like it!

:-) H. England replies: "Thank you very much! Yes... poor Borborygomos."

I really like this picture! There are 2 things that might interest you. First there has been some exceptions in myth about asien dragons having wings. True there aren't many but if you dig a bit in the legends there are dragons that have wings. Second, if there are four claws then it's a korean dragon. If it has three then a japanese dragon. Five is of course the chinese dragon. I want to underline that a japanese dragon cannot have four claws since the number four is considered unlucky in Japan. But anyway GREAT picture!!!!!!!!!!!!

:-) H. England replies: "Pft, I should have thought of that -__-; It's unlucky because it sounds the same as the word for death. Thanks for the info! I have a book about this and would have looked it up but on the day that I posted this I didn't have it with me. Thanks for the comment ^______^"

Hm! I like. The dragon has reindeer horns. Tis a Santa dragon?

:-) H. England replies: "And what to my wondering eyes did appear? A miniature sleigh, and eight tiny... dragons...

Meh, it doesn’t rhyme. lol"

Nice style! This looks like it would be a poster for a cool fantasy cartoon movie! YAY! Great pic. What inspired this one?

:-) H. England replies: "I was ill when I drew this and had nothing to do. I guess boredom inspired it ^___^ I had originally wanted to draw an Asian-type dragon, but it developed some European-style dragon qualities as I went along. Thanks for the comment!"

So, I’m guessing you did this in Paint? Looks like Paint would if the artist is talented. I like the dragon, he’s cool.

:-) H. England replies: "Actually, I did it in Photoshop. Thanks for the comment!"
