07/14/03: Well, I’m 18 now, and moving onward with my life to, as they say, “bigger and better” things. I’m currently finishing up work on a novel which I will eventually look into getting published, and soon I will be going off to college at the University of North Carolina at Asheville, which is a really nice mountain community. Sadly, I have not been keeping up with my art recently, and in the past year or so have drawn little outside of the realm of school assignments. Also, most what I have been drawing has not been fantasy-oriented, so I am not allowed to post it here, nifty though it is.
It has been just recently that I remembered my old gallery here at Elfwood, and imagine my surprise to come back and see how much this place has grown! I’m really shocked, and I’m happy to see so many new people here, though I don’t know hardly any of you. Anyway, since there are so many of you here now I decided that it was high time to update my gallery, and hopefully generate a little bit of interest for myself. Thus, in the coming weeks I will be taking down a lot of my old artwork and (hopefully) continue to create and add new pieces. I work mostly in colored pencils and pen, and everything you see here is done by hand and not touched up on the computer in any way. As I have recently been low on ideas of what to draw, please feel free to suggest different suject matters for me to look into, as long as they are in the realm of fantasy. I do other artwork as well, but as I have said, it's not fantasy, and thus not appropriate for this sight.
On a final note, do not visit my Wyvern's Library page. I'm ashamed of it, and am only keeping it around at this point in case I decide I want to post better stuff in the future.
Well, enjoy my gallery and stay safe. Comments are appriciated, and constructive critasism is always welcome. I also look forward to any dream crushing comments you might put on my pictures, just so long as you say something. I suppose that is it for now. I'll update again soon.
07/23/03: UPDATE. I've gotten rid of a couple of older pictures and added both 'Tessellation' and 'Eastern Dragon'. 'Tessellation' is, well, a tessellation, and 'Eastern Dragon' is now probably my favorite picture in this gallery. I highly suggest that you check both of them out.
On a side note, I came to the realization a couple days ago that the only reason I have been doing fantasy art recently was so that I would have something to post on this site. Lucky you! And I really do like the comments, so feel free to make as many as you want, in as many places as you can manage. However, don't simply write things like 'I like this' or 'cool'. Say something thoughtful. Also, stay on topic. If you do this, I will continue to update my gallery.
