| 9 Aug 2004 | Satonaka | Too the dood who just commented....Maaaaaaan, I am pretty sure an artist as talented as this would have a Copy Right. Also, even if he didnt, I wouldnt suggest prowling around any Rpg's with this in youre profile, its a bit rude. Anyways....Nice work man. Youre gallery is great, I was almost to the point to go buy a poster of Blue Dragon, that ones just tight. He seems to be hangin' around the more explicit part of town, hmm? Nice art man. Keep it up. *thumbs up* | |

| 7 Dec 2004 | Anonymous | A few points about copyright:
1) Under US copyright law, any work is copyrighted, and there is no need to state the copyright explicitly. Some countries to you do have to say it, but I would say that anything on Elfwood has an pretty strong implicit copyright attached to it.
2) If you give proper credit and don't attempt to make money off someone's work, most artists won't be bothered by personal use (even in a community, like a forum avatar or something). But asking is a good idea. Asking via Elfwood comment thread, however, is just begging for no response. Email works wonders.
3) Anything that is a commisioned piece is likely to have extra restictions on its use.
I imagine the the other poster will never see this, but I hate leaving threads in an open, questionable state. | |
| 4 Feb 2005 | Bernadette J. Peterschmidt | Wow who's he waiting to kill? | |
| 3 Jul 2005 | Nekoyasha | How is this fantasy? Eric Martin replies: "Well, uh...this is a sci-fi/fantasy gallery now, so I wouldn't think it would be fantasy more than it is sci-fi." | |
| 26 Apr 2006 | Jen | I like how you snuck in some of your other pics in the back ground. Eric Martin replies: "Haha, and here I was thinking no one would ever notice that!" | |
| 27 Apr 2006 | Emily R. Lacy-Nichols | Great positioning and detail to his environment. (And yes; very clever putting little pics on the wall behind him *lol*). I love it!! (although his moustaches are not to my taste, but to each her own...) BTW: who died? *points to chalk outline of body on sidewalk* Eric Martin replies: "Once again, never thought anyone would notice the hidden art... at least after the couple years it's been posted. The chalk line was just to add to the shady-ness of the atmosphere. " | |
| 4 Jan 2007 | Bonded Flyer | Ever read the Nightside books?? Anyway, it is a place where it is always 3 AM, and good and evil creatures (fantasy) walk side by side. It is a dangerous place (a car or house may eat you), but it has its own charm. Your pic shows exactly how I would see Nightside and one lone guy standing somewhere in it just waiting for someone (or something). Amazing! | |
| 23 Jan 2008 | Midnight_darkangel | oh la la! how’d ya get the face in the wall?!? | |
| 20 Jun 2008 | ErusUmbros | Actually, I’m the guy who commissioned this picture. It was for a character that I used to play on White Wolf’s online Java Chat set in the World of Darkness. Andrew was a Khri-habri. A mummy. A man reborn with the soul of an ancient warrior inside of him to guide his path. I’m glad to see so many people appreciate Eric’s hard work on this! | |
