SciFi and Fantasy Art: Fenist

Fenist (name of a Russian folkhero associated with birds of prey) is a semi-nice pirate. Here he's holding his pet hawk Sokol (Russian word for 'hawk')...it kinda looks like he's punching out the bird, but... he's not ^^;. Fenist is associated with birds, espcially birds of prey. The flowy sleeves of his shirt are symbolic of bird wings, as well as serving to confuse his enemes in battle so that they'd miss him. He also knows a bit of magic - mostly fire-based. Drawn in marker and pencil.
