SciFi and Fantasy Art: Not That Kind Of Angel

It's so great to have somebody say a line like 'nobody has faced me and lived' and not be exaggerating. Nigel is a moon angel, and moon angels are the most powerful beings in my universe, mainly because they are from the Void. Anything from our universe coming in contact with Void energy would be annihilted instantly. They are an elite fighting force allowed in our universe solely to defend it from hostile Void beings and are not supposed to interfere in anything else.

All that armor is not meant to protect Nigel, but rather act as a buffer to shield others from coming in contact with his Void energy. No attacks from our universe can harm him because he can freely phase between our reality and the Void that underlies it (ie: he can teleport). So fighting him is roughly like fighting Nightcrawler and the Matrix wraith twins combined... except that Nigel can also distort our reality. For example, here he is casting 'black hole'. If you see him do that, time would freeze and stuff would get all swirly-like... but by then you'd already be dead.

The symbol on his breastplate is the Chaos Flower, symbol of the moon angel army - because one spiral going clockwise and the other going counter-clockwise is the most chaotic symbol I could come up with. :P Drawn in marker and pencil.

Ah... melts away overwhelmed with the moon angel's beauty and power I like the limited palette you used here: only black, blue and white... but what a beautiful coloring! Nina Eydelman replies: "Yes, I hoped you would like it! It's so nice to be able to observe him from a safe distance - usually this is the last thing somebody sees! Well, you know what they say, "you can take a moon angel out of the Void, but you can't take the Void out of a moon angel"..."

For a someone who is a defender, he certainly looks a little cracked in the head (lust for battle, perhaps?) He looks quite fitting for his description. This sort of thing makes being human feel sort of insignificant, though. Nina Eydelman replies: "Yes, definite lust for battle. You mean humans feeling insignificant is a bad thing? I think it wouldn't hurt for humans to be put in perspective once in a while, hehe. They are far from being the mightiest creatures in our universe, let alone beyond."

2 Nov 2004	Tempa Spyder	Loading... it is a chaotic symbol. it would be even more mixed up if the bigger flower were going counter-clockwise. it is always good to have at least one army of evil angels and to be able to make someone say 'nobody has battled me and lived', and i really meant the 2nd one. he looks kinds like he's gonna chop off his hand (harold and maude-style)"im so evil, ill chop my own hand off! Mwahaha!" or is it more of a "heheheh!"
