Wood women are fertility spirits. Wild, sensual as the forest and the moonlight. The woman of the woods symbolizes a divine state of woman in touch with her natural rythms and cycles. We can feel her presence in all wild and overgrown places, especially those hidden away from or untouched by humans. She represents communion with Nature, and is present in moments of intense passion and artistry, whether creating a work of art or making love. She is the personification of the life giving forces of nature and protectress of the woods and fertile green earth. It is her voice that speaks in the rusle of the leaves and the sound of the wind.
