SciFi and Fantasy Art: Warrior Queen

I wanted to represent the 'Warrior Queen' as an exotic warrior, from perhaps a lost civilization of women. Her strange choice of weapons, and adornment, was my attempt to simulate this. When it comes down to it, however, this picture was really just another good excuse for me to try my hand at drawing the female anatomy--something which I have, until now, done far too little of.

15 May 2002	Anna	Loading... the right breast look a little flat, like you are used to drawing a males chest, but it is only a small problem, and can't be noticed until you inspect it closely. Probably a shading thing..otherwise, its great, I was just nit picking, lol I like the stomach and the legs. Her arms also show the power of a warrior, but still have the female softness to them, which is hard to do.

12 Jun 2002	Wes	Loading... The Lion's feet should be larger. If you want proportions, look at the feet of a puppy that is going to be a large dog, it is much the same. Everything else is wonderful. I love any large cat and your hand at female anatomy is more that excellent. You should do more.

11 Feb 2008	Gwenivere Stephan	Loading... Well, the anatomy of the female is very good. Her face and her feet could use a bit of work but it’s very well done. I like the shading and all that, it’s very good.The lion seems remarkably thin to me and the legs could use work, but really this is a very good picture. Captures the concept very well and is well done. Keep it up!
4 Jul 2008	Anon.	Loading... the female’s anatomy is very good, although I think the lions muzzle is a little bit too long, it would look more realistic if it was shorter. but all in all its a great pic.
