SciFi and Fantasy Art: Watchful Guardian

Just an idea that came to my head one day when I learned it was the feast dasy of guardian angels.  I felt like Cloud was sort of a guardian of mine.  So I hastily started typing a story.  It works like this: basically flystens are creatures that live on another plane, and those who wish to and are deemed worthy can be named Guardians, and are gifted one charge to look over (though I haven't figured out how that bit works).  Cloud (Cunessar) is a younger son of a herd leader (or Caedmon, which is Gaelic for "wise warrior"), Glaedir.  He was ostracized as a foal because of his coat, which is a very rare color/pattern, but as his powers grew, people came to like him.  He never got along with his father and has developed a sense of very sarcastic humor, though he is very wise.  Flystens have some control over water, and Guardians can watch their charge in any body of water.  This particular moment is when he dips one talon into a pond as he releases the image of his charge.  My scanner screwed up the ripples in the water... but it turned out alright.
