SciFi and Fantasy Art: Watercolor Pencil Dragon

My first attempt at watercolor pencils. Not bad, and you've got a little more control in the application of color. Yet, I think I'll stick with the traditional tubes, heh.

Excellent choice of color scheme, Charles. I also like his belly scales a whole lot. They actually look like they'd protect our buddy from sneaky arrow attacks! Now, the really keen thing about watercolor pencils (and watercolor in general) is that you can go back in and do eensy weensy detail work after the water has dried up. I'd say go back into this beasty and bring out some of the detail in his mane, tail and face! Also, you might throw some very light greens and purples into the background to merge it with that forground critter. You're getting a little bit of color separation there.
