SciFi and Fantasy Art: Purple Winged Robe

This was something that I ad-libbed. Just placed it on my drawing board and splashed paint about. This was the result. Done with a majority of watercolor, but there's some gouache and marker to go with it. I used silver marker on part of the wings, so they look a little shiny in the pic. That type of Prismacolor marker STINKS. One can get one heckuva headache with the fumes.

Foster III replies: "OK, so I finally found out how to reply to comments. Please bear with me. In regards to those background images - yes, they were intentional. That's the thing I like about watercolor - they can be quite transparent, and thus blend easily into a background to add some subtle atmosphere. Heh."
