SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Vet

The table came first, and it's very intricate considering my mediocre talent. Then the wizard on his stool. Then, what would a wizard be doing while sitting at his table? Studying his tome of course. Then an observer suggested I set an ailing young dragon on the table. So this is the result. A wizened wizard looks through his book of magic to find a cure for his pet dragon who has a tooth-ache

I am stunned. I opened up my e-mail, and there it was; Something I never expected to see, congratulations on Moderators choice. My thanks to the Elfwood Moderators, and thanks for all the comments. I mean it when I say I have a mediocre talent, because I've seen quite a lot better on Elfwood. I'm very insecure. But I'm getting better.
Yes, the scales are put in place one by one and very tedious, but worth it. The pics were taken at varying stages but not posted here in any particular order. The table, wizard and dragon are three separate pieces.
As far as the measurements, the table top is about three inches square. Very little painting with acrylic, most of it was done with colored Sculpey.

I don't think I'd have the patience to make a table like that so intricate - I hardly have the patience to deal with a slow comp! Anyway, wonderful idea, you did a great job on the wizard and the dragon^^
