SciFi and Fantasy Art: Álàntúr: Version Two

This is a newer interpretation of the Álàntúr.
The first interpretation was a more humanoid creature (there's a picture of it in my files) but I thought it would make more sense to give them the form of an aquatic creature. After all, they were born out of water and never really left the sea.
So I made them this way: like an enormous dragon-like water snake. I know you can't really see any proportions in this picture, but if you read the description of the first interpretation you'll get the idea. It should say enough that they created a structure many times the size of the earth to live in.

I'm not sure if I'll keep this interpretation. Perhaps I'll change it again later on.

30 Jan 2007	Heidi Hecht	Loading... It looks more like an eel. Which I suppose is more practical than some pics of water dragons that I've seen. Is it telekinetic? I'm not really seeing any way it would build cities otherwise. Fyrius (Fery Camillus) replies: "Actually this is an illustration of the Álàntúr from Fyrian mythology, but since the creatures from the Ocean World look identical to these your question still applies.The answer: both the mythological and actual creatures have telekinetic as well as telepathic and other psionic abilities. They are also known for their ability to convert matter into energy and the other way around, enabling them to build structures and utensils of any form or material from any other material, like the water they live in. "
