| 4 Dec 2000 | Katherine N. Garlick | Corel PhotoPaint 8 - the background is pretty simple, really... I fill it in with a solid black, select it under a mask, and use the Pastel brush to put in the big swaths of color - I use the pastel for the figure, too, but on a white base, instead. Then I erase patterns into the background, at about 75% transperancy. It's usually the fastest part of the whole picture. From scanning down to JPEG compression, including som major reconstruction from a long, leonine tail to the current, took about 6 hours, give or take. | |
| 24 Dec 2000 | Swizzle | You just.....RULE! I will never be this good. Then again I'm a chef so that's ok. | |
| 1 Feb 2001 | ~ L ~ | simply adorable! | |
| 10 Feb 2001 | Karsabeth | EEEEK! I wuv it! Can I keep her? I'm soo jealous. You have an incredible talent! There's nothing I could say to improve this sooo.. *blink blinkies* KAWAII! | |
| 26 Feb 2001 | Dolphin Silverwolf | I wonder if she could use a mentor? I like the coloring work...excellent. I wish I could color like this...every time I throw color on my artwork it seems to make everything flat and degrades the quality of the work...how do you do it? Also what hardware are you using? Mac? PC? Wacom tablet? | |
| 1 Mar 2001 | Katherine N. Garlick | PC... and a mouse. Though, oooooo - I ~want~ a wacom tablet. | |
| 3 Jun 2001 | Tess | This is an ugly little creature, but I don't mean it in a bad way! She is homely, but very real because of it--probably one of the best renderings of a satyr I've seen here. If a half-dozen of the ones depicted here were "viable," Lysistrata would be one of the live ones. | |
| 30 Oct 2001 | Ilona Lamminen | Oooh, a satyr. She's got lovely hooves and horns - 'specially the color. ~.^ Something bothers me about her left leg, tho, but satyr's legs are always hard. | |
| 2 Sep 2002 | Eire Wolf <goewyn1@yah...com> | She's so cute! I love the hair especially. Everything is perfect! | |
