SciFi and Fantasy Art: Lonely Pixie

Isn't she sad looking? I can't find any problems with this, except for maybe the grass, and definitely the way it scanned. Comments appreciated! [as always]

I love the detail put into this. But the pixie seems to be more lined in and not as shaded as the stump, and it almost looks like you cut and pasted her there.

Little pixie looks like she has some great pondering going on in there. Wonderful shading!! The stump looks so real.

I love the tree stump! it looks so real!

I gotta agree with everybody else the stump is excellent. Also I think the grass is good especially the way you kept it distinct as it passes in front of the really dark stump. Not tha the pixie isn't good but the stump is the most richly detailed part of the pic.

Great job on the stump, it looks real. I also like the pixie.

Well I like the image, but it seams as though the pixie does not quite match the stump. I imagine you did'nt want her to be lost in the stump and that is why you shadded her that way. You did a excelent job at shadding the stump, why not shade the pixie the same way then intencify the shadding of the inside of the stump (gradualy to black along the edge of the pixie) (the pixie will still stand out, and blend better with the overall image)

Wow. It's been a while since anyone commented on this one. The only issue I have with it is that the roots look like they are sitting on top of the ground, all the way out to the end. Really, they're diving under the ground, no? Cute pic, though. I like it. Just dump some dirt over the ends of the roots, and it'll all be perfect! [grin] -- jv
