SciFi and Fantasy Art: Unicorn Dapples

I have really been doing a number on the photorealistic horses lately. Whew. This was my first dapple grey, which wasn't exactly easy! I'm really pleased with the way it turned out, but there's something about his head that's been bothering me...

Something about the head..looks like the forehead is a little bit high. Dunno how you would fix that though..I probably wouldnt have noticed if you hadnt have brought it up...otherwise ridiculously good2

The part of the head that's bothering you in the poll area. The slant above the left eye, to your right, should be angled back towards the neck, maybe around 20-30 degrees. The thickness of neck, on the back of the crest, at the meeting of head to neck, looks to me like it should be slightly more substantial. The slope of the turned neck is too erect: the base should angle forward more. Those observations are solely anatomy based. Lovely soft tones, here. I do tend to love black points on a horse, it makes them look elegant to me.

You are REALLY good at drawing these!

I think the head thing is the eye placement. The closer eye looks like it's lower on the face than the other one.

its cheek should be higher up, i think. Other than that, it's awesome! I love it. i tried to draw a dapple before, when i was eight, and it took me F O R E V E R. But that might have been because I was eight...

looks good, as usual, but I’m gonna add my two-cents in... She looks spooked, it wound account for the steepness of the neck, rigidity of the legs, and placement of the ears. Not wrong in any way, just different.

Simply Astounding...
I don’t know how you do it...
But for Katie Michael: Since when do Unicorns have an appearance definition?
Isn’t a unicorns appearance defined by the artist?

Again, beautiful picture.
It’s flawless to me.
