I don't think it's too dark at all, but I would remove the campfire, or take it down to coals-- while I understand the purpose it serves in lighting his back leg (and an excellent job done with that) I also think it seems to distort the focus of the picture, esp. as it doesn't seem as realistic as the rest of the picture. | |

The fire is orange, so the highlights from the fire has to be orange as well. It doesn't look natural as it is now.
