SciFi and Fantasy Art: Father and Daughter

Corellon Larethian, the Elven God, with his daughter Eilistraee, who is banished from the High Elven pantheon for her (inadvertent) role in the uprising led by her mother Auraushnee (more commonly known as Lolth). Corellon doesn't want to banish her, but she insists, thinking that the drow will need a good deity they can turn to.

This pic was inspired by the short story 'With Silver and Tears' by Suzene Campos.

Photoshop over pencil shading.

"I met a Half-Drow, Half Moon-elf Bard devoted to Eilistraee once; he related this scene to me in song, as you do by but relating it to me in ink (or whatever you brought this forth with). I praise you for this, as I praised him."
(He mutters to himself) "Now how did that song go?" "Oh yes!" (He starts humming absent-mindedly)

I like this a lot, especially the gold in his clothes and the silvery effect on her hair. Wonderful coloring, may I ask what medium you used?
The pose is wonderful too, although the hands of the characters are a bit small... but can't argue about style ^^;
Anyway, kudos on the great pic!

to comment persondownthestreet: yes lolth (or arushanee) was indeed corellons lover before she betrayed him in search of greater power, she was cast to the demonweb pits with her comrades. the drow elves later called upon the traitor godess to win the fifth crown war, but was discovered and cursed as an punishment. Elistraee kept with her mother as she thought that the drow needed a light to turn to in the darkness that the drow pantheon engulfed them in.

to comment the artist: awesome work this is how corellon is supposed to look may i ask about the background?

:-) Jenny Dolfen replies: "The background? A basic one. 1"

The detail on this picture is amazing. I love your techniques and style. I love the drow. She is very beautiful, and I love his robe.

and also to prince.... they were dark but not BLACK .. they were changed by the elves thru corellion's Magic. the drow anyways.. i guess it never really says if Lloth was that dark or not only that he changed her into a drider and sent her to the demon pits..
