| 17 Oct 1999 | Jana van Geest | First comment! This is the first time I've ever gotten first comment on anything. You know what I love about this portrait? She's very likeable, because her features are not perfect. I think that an adventurer would be much more likely to look like her than like those vacuous wannabe supermodels that lots of other artists insist on drawing over and over again - they might as well trace! Is she a halfling? I get that feeling from her. I might add a white highlight in each of the eyes, near the pupils. | |
| 1 Nov 1999 | Crystal | Woo-hoo! Thanks Jana! I took your advice, and she looks much better now. I also fixed the discoloration caused by the scanner, and the horrible smudges on her nose. A vast improvement, methinks. Thanks! | |
| 2 Nov 1999 | Sylvie Jackson | She is gorgeous.. I agree with the light reflection to her eyes, but I'm an anime freak so that's me. This is my new favorite, you really did convey personality! | |
| 3 Jan 2000 | Christine Unteregger | She looks very sympathetic. It's a great picture anyway, only the eyes seem to be not entirely a part of the picture (but maybe it's only the scan), because they are so strong and dark lines and everything else is so smooth and soft. | |
| 11 Feb 2000 | Whitney B. Mattila | This picture is contagious. ^.^ As soon as I saw it, I wanted to smile back. Great job- I have the hardest time drawing realistic faces. x.x | |
