SciFi and Fantasy Art: ArcherJust an unnamed character of mine. Nothing to do in biology class, and this came up.. | |
 | | | | | Date | Name | Comment | | | 15 Jul 2005 | Melody Pena | This is fabulous! The sense of movement is perfect; you've really captured this moment. The proportions and anatomy look great. This has got to be the most dynamic drawing of an archer I've ever seen. Greta Höög replies: "Thank you so much for this amazeing comment. I'm not sure I deserve it, but I love it anyway!" | |
| 15 Jul 2005 | Colleen A. Russom | Good job, you use simple lines to great effect. The drawing does not have a lot of detail but that only improves the focus on the forms and the movement of her drawing the bow. ...what am I talking about? I don't even know... I like it, especially her hand and the much-admired bow. Just one question though, what is she shooting? Greta Höög replies: "Ah, good point! I guess she would be aiming at something big, like a dragon or gryphon, following it with her bow until she gets a perfect sight of it and then she releases the arrow - twang!" | |
| 15 Jul 2005 | Rachel Banks | I must say i find this really beautiful, and as far as i can tell, almost perfect anatomically. The one thing I noticed is that her head seems slightly too large. Well done! Greta Höög replies: "Mhm, it's a bit large, but I don't find it too odd. I'll keep it in mind though, and thanks for commenting!" | |
| 15 Jul 2005 | Anonymous | Good job, beautiful bow, Its just hard to tell where she has clothing on and where she doesn't without it being coloured. Greta Höög replies: "ah, the colouring yet again. I kinda like it this way, this one looks so sharp just being black and white. Nothing wrong with being naked either.." | |
| 15 Jul 2005 | Liz | The bow is great, and I like how you did the hair. Her left foot is a little awkward maybe, but apart from that I love it. Greta Höög replies: "Yes, it's a bit strange, now that I look at it! I like the hair too, and the bow looks like a real bow, which thrills me. I didn't know that I could draw weapons like that.. Thanks for commenting!" | |
| 15 Jul 2005 | Tamara Boudewijn | nice dynamic, the bow/arch(I dont know it s the right word for it) looks amazing! Greta Höög replies: "Thank you, yes, I think that's why I like this picture too, the dynamics. Sometimes you nail it! (Most of the times you don't)." | |
| 23 Nov 2005 | D. Ewing | she looks like she would be named Danae... kudos | |
| 26 Nov 2005 | Wood Elf | Oh, yes. . . I always come up with random characters during my boooring math class | |
| 11 Feb 2007 | Love me, Kill me | Hello. Well done I must say so. It has been centuries before I stumbled upon a pice of art like this. Yes though it has a few mistakes here and there, like for example, the leg is wrong and the string on the bow is double maxed. You tired and it came out wonderful. I thank you for starling me with your art. Most people never recive comments from me I only do it when I am in the generous mood. | |
| 11 Feb 2007 | Anon. | Very nice picture indeed, the archer is really well-drawn, i have only one tip: The bowstring is about twice as long as the bow itself, try drawing an unstrung bow, then apply the string and notice that as the string is pulled backwards, the bow will bent to maintain the length of the string. The hair and pose are really good though! | |
