Stick with design and background. Your "Lake Overlook" is very interesting. I am an artist and I don't do landscape and background but I am very good at people and potraits. I stick with what I do best, tho of course, I have experimented. You do have a special ability to do design and background. Stick with it.

I think you draw very nice!! I'm not a member and I suck!! I learned this when I couldn't even draw a half decent stick figure! LOL! So don't worry! you are doing great! just keep up the good work and keep practicing. *Hugs*

I dont think your art is so bad as you seem to say. Though, It would be nice to see a little more Detail in your drawings. Other than that .. Hey .. You are Way better than I will ever hope to be.

In the various examples you have given I can see some remarkable features. Study your work carefully, pick these out and combine them. Only practice makes perfect and only the artist sees his greatest mistakes, enjoyed!

Puffer is correct, you are doing well. However I know that while praise is nice, it is also not helpful, which is what you asked for. So I will give you my suggestions, few though I have.

A very helpful technique -I find- when drawing is to picture, and also at first to actually draw, the geometric shape of the thing/creature/yaddayadda you are drawing. Your sketches should be riddled with rectangles and circles and spheres and what-have-you. The castle is an example that you can do this. It is harder though to figure out what geometric shapes would fit in a human form, but it is worth the effort. Your sketches won't seem to look good at first because of all the geometric lines in them, but if you draw the geometry in a lighter pencil, such as 7H or something and use HB overtop the geometrics to do the actual subject of the drawing then it isn't terribly bad. and eventually you won't need to actually draw the geometrics anymore.

Light source conceptualization is also important. shading all the shadows the same does wonders.

Some of these is alright but sone of this stuff looks cartoony unless its supposed to.If its freehand then its good but if you drawing form pictures you need a little more practice.

You definitely need some practice, however you've got talent. Use some colour
