| 10 Mar 2007 | UnIisUS | I just wanted to say what a treat it is to see a gallery where both the armour and weaponry is at the same time both imaginitive & functional.
Having been a student of real world arms & armour for many years now I have a real pet peeve with how many artist draw armour that either couldn't be moved in or serve as mere adornment. Even worse are the number of swords & axes that would have all the balance and weight of a refrigerator.
I completely understand the fantasy part in the SF & F Art title of these galleries and when we're talking about a Dragon or Liche Lord I can stretch my imagination as far as needs be. When it comes to warriors holding a weapon that contains more steel than a Ford sedan I just find it ridiculous.
P.S. Almost forgot. That kimono and facial expression on Dreamweaver. beautiful. | |
