SciFi and Fantasy Art: Roderick's Letter

A love that started back when he was eighteen, Roderick recieves a letter from his girlfriend, Lena. Though they have been unable to see each other in a very long time, they keep in touch through letters and mesaages. Infrequent, yes, but enough to show each other that no matter the distance, they still love each other.

That's a really neat idea! The letter beside the character, I mean. That's really, really neat! I'd love to try it some time if you don't mind. Beautiful pic! This one was actually here before without the letter in the background, and he was frowning. But, for a calendar project I made the background and I rather like it this way now.

So sweet... *nods* I really like the way this pic is composed, with the letter and her sketch behind him. X3 and he has that sort of dreamy happy smile Believe it or not, the original version of this one has him frowning.

I remember this one. The original had something to do with him receiving an urgent and disturbing letter, but what exactly it was all about I forgot. I'm also positive I've seen the sketch of the woman before, though I don't recall where (and yes, that's how long I've been stalking your gallery, admiring and worshipping your every drawing).well, that sketch of Lena is up in my regular gallery, and has been there for a few months, at least, but I'm glad you recalled the first version of this image.

Have you seen the characters of Leona Preston? Your art reminds me of hers...Um, no offense, but, other than being furry, how does mine look like hers?

I love the effect, how'd u do it? Not fair to keep layering techniques to urself (kidding)12Um, the only layering technique I used was putting some layers behind others.

Love is in the air...

I'm so happy he's happy. The layering was a great idea, and it really worked well.I'm happy he's happy, too.

I want to know more about this Lena, Whom roderick loves so much. But anyway, I love the way you did this picture, I never could have thought of putting the character in front of a favored letter. Keep up the good work and I hope you draw more pics of Roderick1Heh, behold my mastery of cheating in order not to actually draw a background!

So you /do/ draw the female. good to know that you can add a little variety. that was my only doubt in you, not that it matters. damn you do a lot of research.Yes, yes I do draw females. Not quite as good at them as I am the dudes, but I'm getting better. Look for some in my next update.

I think I'm going to have to comment on every Roderick picture. I love it =D. Nice to see how happy he got ^__^. Though he does look a bit smug. Lovely artwork, love the medievalness of it all!He was originally frowning in this piece, but I decided to change it.
