SciFi and Fantasy Art: Sherouve Male Kick

This is a member of the Sherouve, a no-man's-land bwtween Mizraim and Nehantish. Rocky and barren, it is an unforgiving desert and inhabited by unpredictable nobadic tribes of warriors and traders. Never cross a Sherouve, they are fierce fighters, and skilled with weaponry. This is a male demonstrating his fighting prowess. Most of the sherouve are mongooses, but ehre are a few exceptions. He is not one, though.

*gasp* Gods! He can kick as well as my friend Jessica! *blink* again, comment on movement. You did this very well. I think I've been inspired... (No, Mitch! What have you done?)The Sherouve are great fighters, basically the Ninjas of my Arabia. But they also have the reputation that our Gypsies have. Martial arts are hard to draw, but I think I pulled this one off alright. And you're inspired? Everybody, head for the hills! Aieeee!

Another sketch packed with energy and motion despite the roughness.Thankies, and I love sketchy stuff sometimes, it can house more feeling in the right pictures.

Ever been to polykarbon.com? 'Cause this reminds me of the "good kick" from his "Bad Kick" vs "Good Kick" tutourial.I've been to Polykarbon, but I only looked at his Photoshop tutorials. *Takes a look at refrenced image* Huh, wow, who'da thunk?

YOu sir I must personally congradulate on this peice of art, I mean its hard to find an artist that correctly shows how a kick is done, I mean its the little things that matter and being a martial artist myself(1st degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do) its hard not to notice stuff like that, though one suggestion I do have is that when you make a character that's kicking like this you should have the heel of his foot turn in slightly since the foot sometimes naturally does that when you kick but then again it could be the style of martial arts or the artist preference anyways it was just a suggestion, your the artist and I'm not

^_^Though I may not be good at them, I have studied quite a few martial arts, and try to be accurate. Also, he's got footpaws instead of feet, so that makes a little difference.

It would be very cool to be a Sherouve. But I wouldn't be able to doanything without hurting myself. OUCH!! This is amazing, wow!! But it would take years and years and years of practice eh?

@@@ = )You can't become a Sherouve, you have to be born one. Sherouve is the name of the tribe he is from, and thay are sort of desert gypsies. They are also rather untrustworthy, and you just plain don't want to venture into their territory.
