SciFi and Fantasy Art: Trebban PravusThis is probably as close to a self-portrait as a furry as I get. Trebban is really my oldest RP'ed furry character, and one of my favorites. I tried a new technique on this one in an attempt to make it look cel-shaded like a cartoon. It's harder than it looks when you do it the way I did, but I'm quite happy with the result. Adn trebban is a hare, not a bunny or a rabbit.
| | | | | Date | Name | Comment | | | 13 May 2003 | Mimiff | Yay! Redwall! Redwall is kinda like furcadia, a more medievil version but cooler! *Looks around to see if Beekins heard him.* Err anyway...it is a really nice picture though, and the ears do look nice, but he has a nose like a koala lol. I like the color, it's neat, and coolish!Actually, Redwall is not much at all like Furcadia, but, I'll let that go. And, koalas have more ovular noses, not blunt wide ones, too. But thanks, anyhow. | |
| 8 Dec 2003 | Moe | Nice work. Reminds me of the Rooz from "Warriors of Virtue"
"Stupid Rooooz!!! Stupid Roooooz!!!"
-MoeWell, I must admit I don't know who the Warriors of Virtue are, so, I can't agree or disagree with that comment.
| 3 Jan 2004 | Petra L. Sully | I like his nose... It's shiny.
sorry, in an insane mood, I really do like the colouring it's really effective, he seems so noble. Sick of being serious.... SHINY.*Gleam*
| 4 Jan 2004 | M.E.S.^_^ | I thot he was a bat! ^_^ good art!!! ^_^He's a hare. | |
| 28 Mar 2004 | Anonymous | yess!! people who actually know what the Redwall series is about!! sorry..... hehe....he looks kind of irked...reminds me of the description 'perilous'...That was just an attempt at a stern looking face. I sort of messed up on his jaw, though. It should be rounder than that. | |
| 11 Sep 2004 | D. 'Yolaron' Hendrikson | I think what I love the most is that you've taken the most unlikely creatures, in this case a hare, and turned it into someting believeably serious! I mean, he looks like he could do some serious damage. well done!I do enjoy breakign stereotypes a fair amount. Real hares fight often, and are pretty vicious. Trebban here is sort of an extension of myself, more of the adventurous, rough and tough side. Of course, he's not serious all the time. After all, he is an acoholic, too. | |
| 6 Dec 2004 | Anonymous | I like him! He looks very dignified..Awfully British. Other commenters are saying who they think he looks like and personally, I think he looks like a Ripper, which is a Kangaroo..um..fur, i suppose you could call it, from a comic/film called Tank Girl. They're very cool and so is he! ^^Ripper? Oh, you must mean Booga. And, Trebban isn't supposed to have that lantern jaw he's got in this one, but a more rounded jawline. I goofed, and in pen, no less. | |
| 22 Oct 2005 | Morgan | It's so cute. -pets the hare's sideburns- When I first looked at it I started fan girl squealing, because it reminded me of Jason Flemying from LXG. Really, /really/ great job on making an anthro hare. One of the most successful I've seen. He's not easy to draw, but soooo easy to write. I love playing Trebban. | |
| 30 Jul 2006 | C. 'Liari' Seidel | I was once chased by a jackrabbit. Oh, the traumatic memories of childhood. On another note, I love his ears. The rich brown of his fur is also quite nice. Is that a uniform, by the way, or just a regular shirt? He gives the impression of military, for some reason. Of course, that could just be me. I've been known to be wrong before.that's jsut his regular shirt, but, he used to be in the military, so that could be what's giving him that air. | |
| 25 Oct 2007 | Obsidian | Hares box, right? I can really see this guy boxing, more at home with fists than swords, perhaps, maybe, in my opinion at least. He's really fantastic, it took me awhile to click he was a rabbit, (well I thought he was a bit tough for a rabbit, so when I saw hare it made more sense) but now I cant really imagine him as anything else. Really awesome artwork, I love the clean lines. I love your gallery! He is a boxer, actually, but pretty good with a sword as well. I still really like him, and he's one of my favorite characters. | |
