| 19 Sep 2005 | Karlo | *VERY* surprised at the amount of full nudity allowed in here. Seems to me that a seperate room which requires registration to view the pictures would be much more suitable. | |
| 19 Sep 2005 | Chaute Paws | I disagree about the breasts looking like implants; that's just how larger breasts look if you squash them by lying on your front. I like this. It's interesting to see her morphing into her tail a bit further down. Good job! | |
| 19 Sep 2005 | H. Harper | You have certainly done a very good job on the human body in this one. She actually looks like a real person. But aside from the breasts looking slightly like implants, the shoulder (the one facing us) looks a bit...Detatchable. Perhaps softening the lines (on both the breasts and the shoulder blade) would solve this problem. The coloring is phenominal, though. The palette was very well chosen. Good job with this! | |
| 19 Sep 2005 | Coco | "my what large brests you have!""the better to smother you with." | |
| 26 Sep 2005 | JC <jchovernut@yah...com | She's beautiful!! She has a really pretty face and smile! I tend to agree with the above shoulder comment. I really like how you started her tail below her gorgeous tush. That fin on the back of the tail is a nice aquatic addition, too.
I wish you had shown her hands as well; they'd look great if you added webbing between the fingers. A couple more little aquatic additions to her upper body would look great, too, like gills in the neck or ribcage, and frilly litte fins on her forearms like the one you added to the back of her tail.
Your mermaids are indeed lovely and I hope to see more of your exotic piscenes soon...maybe with the extra exotic additions!! | |
| 19 Apr 2006 | Drew Blanton <Drewsky26@aol...com> | This might be fantasy, but I can tell Jewels is beautiful in reality! | |
| 13 May 2006 | Kristin A. Erickson | Beautiful picture. The only problem I have with it is that her shoulder does look detachable. But this is a problem you can always fix in the future. As artists, we are always having to make mistakes and try to fix them in our future pieces. It's a crappy part of art, but oh well... Anyways, now for praise. I love the shading you did on her skin, especially near her lower back where her tail is melding into her body. The anatomy looks very real, and I enjoy how soft and natural the nudity looks. I think people are too afraid of a natural thing. This is tasteful, not vulgar. Beautiful work! Keep it up! | |
| 14 May 2006 | Charis | I *think* she has something like gills on her lower back...I could be mistaken though. This is very beautiful and I really like that the tail starts lower than her belly button. | |
| 7 Mar 2007 | Catt of the Garage | Karlo - walk into your local art gallery. You'll find as much nudity there as you will in here. Never seen a mermaid with buttocks before. Original. But not very hydrodynamic, perhaps? Guy Swalling replies: "Perhaps, but no more so than the shoulders or breast would be." | |
| 19 Jun 2007 | Russell Martin | This is a great mermaid. You must have had a beautiful model to work with. | |
