SciFi and Fantasy Art: Taming the Beast, coloured

Ink pens do come in different colours ... I had a lot of trouble with scanning this one. The green originally turned out as a dark turquoise, and even now it doesn't look nearly as good as the original. This one doesn't really look bad in real life, but I'm not at all fond of this scanned version—but I'll upload it anyway, to add some colour to my dismal gallery—at least until I can come up with something better.

Raistlin and Cyan? I guess just seeing that red robe and that green dragon, well it kinda just reminded me of it. 1...Raistlin? Unless I'm entirely mistaken that is a Dragonlance character. (I am no expert; I have read only one Dragonlance novel, and I definitely didn't like it.) I assure you I had nothing of the kind in mind when I drew it—actually, the motif is fairly random. I drew the dragon's head to see if I could handle the medium. The body followed, and with the dragon's pose the way it was, it just cried out for a wizard to stand there... As for the colours, I merely chose them for variety.

Man this is a great picture, give youself some more credit! I really like how you made it blurry with the pens and I really think that the colours go great with the white background, Keep up the great work!!!

Hehe... Green is just a good color. Period. *looks at her over-worn forest green coat that's been around for... seven years !!! (this is the third identical one though... ;p) EEe... Well... I loved the first Taming of the Beast, just because of the style it was drawn in, and the color looks nice, though I sort of like all the dreary art. ;p But do more color... variety is nice.

I agree just because you see a red robed mage holding a staff with a rounded ornament on top who has tamed a green dragon does not mean it's Raistlin. Besides..Raistlin hand long delicate fingers..not a abnormally long delicate arm. Please refer to Mr. Hunter's comment on the gallery main page for my response.

The thing I have to say here is that I am completely floored that you didn't have a pencil sketch! Great gracefulness. The wings actually look semi-transparent, remarkable for the fast look to this.
