SciFi and Fantasy Art: A Portrait of Satan's Bride

Let me explain how I came up with the title. I consider it a portrait because of the way the background turned out; all of the motion blur filters made it look like the backdrop of a photo studio. The 'gothic bride' feeling of the picture, offset by the pink veil and sleeves, created the image of Satan's bride in my head. The corset took a long time to detail, but otherwise, it was a fairly simple picture to complete. You know, I've always wanted a bodice like this one. ^_~ The shattered cross that she is dropping is also representative of her identity as Satan's bride, since she must discard her broken faith before they can get married. I might write a story about her sometime. Who knows?

The only thing I can think of to make it better would be to add just a few highlights to the bottom of the dress to define it a little better. Otherwise this is a masterful piece...So glad I found it!!
