SciFi and Fantasy Art: End of the Quest

Okay, so I finally decided to upload a picture of Nylrem, the warrior-mage from my video game (that was never completed). As you can see, by the end of his battles, he's been through a lot. Why exactly did he get into so much trouble? Let's just say he got caught up in the middle of a plot involving a few seriously power-hungry Vampyres after an ancient Sorceror, all because he wanted vengeance for their murder of his fiance.

You should read "Soldier of Fortune" in Aleksi Stenberg's Wyvern Gallery. http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/library/writers/stenberg/sof.html.html This picture and that poem seem to go together, at least as far I my opinion goes.

I love how you catch the weariness in his eyes. He definately looks stressed.

Wow! This is great! And you actually have time for requests!?!?!? I could draw something like this...in say about....15 years!! This is absoloutely awsome, and if you do have time for a request, would you consider mine? *winks* I'm looking for a facial study of a pirate woman, with elven features and a determind, but stubborn look, ie. chin held high...*chuckles* If your able to help me out in anyway, it would be most appreciated, but if not...i understand... Again Great work, i love this one especially....

ok I know this is probably gonna sound very petty, but he isn't sexy enough to be a video game character. I have never seen an un-sexy <male or female> video game HERO. Although there are usually plenty of weirdos. Unless taht was what you were going for. In any case, it is lovely and MORE REAL than I ever can draw.

sometimes the best work you ever do is unfinished, and unfinished for a reason. You did a really good job at capturing his sadness in his eyes, shows real emotion from him losing his fiance.

He looks incredibly real. I love it. And yes, he isnt exactly sexy but...it doesnt matter... most real ppl arent incredibly sexy, and making him look real was, in my own...er..humble(?) opinion more important... *get to the point, self...* Some critique... his nose is too big.

:-) Timothy R. Haldane replies: "He's not exactly s'posed to be sexy at this point, ne? I mean, he's been through a lot. Oh yeah, and he knows he has a big schnoz, alright? He's kinda sensitive about it."
