SciFi and Fantasy Art: Myra Willowraven, Elven scoutYet another character for my story/game project. Myra was only one of many Elven women in her village deep within the Nalyndrian East Woods. However, she ended up proving herself far more skilled at tracking Nylrem and Vladmir than any of her associates. The offending two had slipped out of the village under the cover of night, completely unnoticed. Myra was not about to let Nylrem get away with freeing that Vampyre from their prison. After all, she had great ambitions of being High Emmissary to the Elven Queen some day. | |

| 24 Mar 2002 | Tigress | I love your attention to detail and the shading on all your work kicks. This is a real inspiration to me. I envy how well you do this, but that's only because I'm not as experienced yet. Keep up the good work! | |
| 29 Mar 2002 | Just an aspiring artist | *drools* would i possibly be able to send you stats from a few of my d&d characters and have you see if you can draw them? I've been trying to find someone to draw these three elves for years, please *grins a big cheesy grin* | |
| 1 Apr 2002 | kelvin the elven | Could i possibly send you some stats for a couple of my d&d characters? I've been looking for someone to draw them for a long time. Please........*big cheesy grin* Timothy R. Haldane replies: "Y'know.... I haven't gotten my fantasy art fix in a while. What the heck. Send me some stats and some history. I'm curious. And, heck, I might just throw a drawing of Daervin Brunstyre, my human Rogue/Bard (soon to be Spymaster/Shadowdancer) up here." | |
| 3 May 2002 | Taki-Bi Misuriki <anim | I love it! Awsome shading! | |
| 17 Apr 2003 | Natalie Paquette | .. this is going to sound random, but ... I am simply in awe with the folds in her clothing. They look so natural! Did you use anything for reference on that, or can you simply... naturally imagine and then render folds (and shadows according to light sources?). .. I am in complete envy of your skill with a pencil. >.< Timothy R. Haldane replies: "Doesn't sound random at all, and thank you, I've worked many years on trying to *get* the art of drawing folds in cloth. There's a few tricks to it. Folds usually run around or between bulges, appear to gather at pinches or other high stress inner areas, and well... interfere with one another. I didn't use a reference for this, but it sometimes helps to study a hanging or draped cloth, or you could just get Burne Hogarth's guide to drawing dynamic cloth. I guess beyond that, it's all just lucky guessing." | |
| 21 Apr 2003 | leo | dude, can I just say that out of all the art work i've seen yours is by far the best, you have a very creative mind, well this is kind of a favor it's weird but for a while now I've been looking for a picture of the grim reaper for my tattoo, and I found some, they were just crappy, well I don't expect a stranger to do me a favor but if you ever find the time, it would be awsome. thanks Timothy R. Haldane replies: "Not sure if I'm the best guy to draw a reaper... and I've never exactly drawn a pic for a tattoo... my, my the pressure!" | |
