SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Tell-tale Heart

That poor old man's horrible glazed-over blue eye was enough to drive the narrator to an insane rage that eventually ended in murder. The cover-up was perfect, with the body boarded up inside the floor. The plan would have worked, too, if not for the beating of the infernal heart. This illustration is meant to be representative of the plague upon the mind of the narrator, both in terms of the eye and the heart.
