SciFi and Fantasy Art: Dressed to kill

The armed and dangerous woman. An elfwood tradition. Everybody seems to have one, and as I don't want to be left out, I drew my own interpretation of her. I was inspired to draw her after taking the 'Naked Dwarf Syndrome' tour. It features a bunch of chicks wielding swords and other lethal instruments, but strangely enougt wearing little, if any protective amor or even basic clothing. So here she is - the armed and AMORED woman. - By the way, she might look like a harmless N'sync fan, but that's what they said abut Jean D'arc and look what happened to them...

I truly did not know that they made armor in cup sizes these days. They seem to be specially polished at that! 12. No really, good stuff, except for the smallish head. Very Joan of Arc.

Ummm..... Correct me if i'm mistaken, but did'nt the English burn Joan d'Arc at the stake?

Some people just don't get it, do they. I mean using perspective and proportion. In this case what you have achieved this case is an imposing looking figure; she has an amazingly appealing quality. I think it is a clever use of proportions and perspective. Makes me think of those statues that guarded the habours of ancient cities - the female Colossus.

It was not the English that burned her, it was the French, even after she won wars for them. It was a Christian Church 'women have no souls' move.

Not quite, Zehava...although there were a handful of loonies- "There is no cause so right or so just that it is impossible to find a fool following it"- it was the Dauphin's deciding he wanted rid of her to consdolidate his own position, and doing a deal for it with the Gallic Church, any argument available. The breasts are exaggerated, which means a sword-swipe there will slide inwards to over the heart, not outwards and neatly away. Ow. Not good. I do like the lamellar bits which should give a reasonable agility, though.

this is amazing O.o i'm really bad at armour... its only... the womans breasts... it looks like they are too far to the sides of her body.. that must 've hurt

Thank you. A kick -butt- weapon won't help if a knife takes you out from behind!
