| 9 Jan 2002 | Jean-Jacques | I had pictured Arithon differently but you have the general idea. He does look feminine. But that turned out well since Arithon is 'delicate'. You should try Lysaer next, but make him very masculine. Here are a few tips for masculinity: a large, square jaw; wider, less pointed features; more pronounced eyebrows; and make sure the lower half of the face(below the eyes) is larger than the upper half. Keep up the good work. | |
| 19 Jan 2002 | Christina E. Brönnestam | Nah, here's a gorgeous one ... adding my own 2$ tip for a more masculine look: a bit thinner lips with a less accentuated "bow", and also mind the neck with a bigger throat. | |
| 20 Jul 2002 | Anonymous | I've just finished writing the first book in this series. Your picture is everything I imagined! | |
| 25 Jul 2002 | charlie | *gasp* he is so..Fit! *drool* i love his hair..Looks really realistic..Wow.. | |
| 26 Oct 2002 | Amanda L. Whitehead | This is the only picture of Arithon I could find on Elfwood. Why don't more people draw pictures of him?? Maybe I should try one.. hmm.. Anyway.. Nice job on the hair. I'd pictured his hair being longer than the way you've drawn it, but it still looks nice. | |
| 28 Oct 2002 | LCM | WAH!! IT BE ARI!!!! *grins, glomps her angsting, shadow, bishy* ^_^ *Grins* I had thought of him with longer hair but..*giggles, as all who say he should look more masculane glare at her* ^^;; *grins* You have created one happy fangirl..*runs off* | |
| 8 Oct 2003 | Spinner of Darkness | I know that the book Stormed fortress is coming out August, 2004! I love your picture it is great tell people who read the book in this web site to draw pictures of him he is the coolest. | |
| 25 Jan 2004 | Sam 'Zephyri' Hogg | wow! I am so excited! This is the only other picture of Arithon I've been able to find on Elfwood, which is a travesty, because he is such a great character, and I was beginning to think I was the only one who had put pencil to paper for him! You've done a great job here, your shading is wonderfully smooth, and I think the hair is fine, Ms Wurts didn't make his hair that much longer in the original cover of Curse of the Mistwraith. I would imagine this is probably him somewhere near the start of the epic, as he became much more burdened later on in the novels. Great job! | |
| 28 Feb 2004 | Anonymous | This is a great picture. I particularly like the shading on his cheeks that show up the cheekbones - I've tried for years to get that effect, and never succeeded!
However, I wouldn't necessarily have known it was Arithon - my first thought was that it was David Bowie, so maybe it is a bit effeminate... | |
