SciFi and Fantasy Art: Cara, Mord-Sith

In Terry Goodkind's 'Sword of Truth' series, Cara is a Mord-Sith, one of a group of women who were tortured mercilessly as children and in turn used to torture others. They are later freed by the protagonist of the books and decide to live their lives as his protectors rather than settling down. Cara is one of my favorite literary characters ever, for her sheer devotion and flippant personality. This is a portrait of how I see her. *NOTE* This is just one of many designs I have drawn of variations on the Mord-Sith red-leather uniform. Another will show up in a picture I am currently finishing, 'Raina and Reggie'.

Hey interesting interpertation of cara and her outfit. I like the moon she has there in a way it kind of symbols lord rahl. I also always thought of the leather covering her entirely but i like the face, all together much better than i could ever draw, very nice!!!

This is SUCH an awsome picture of Cara. Just the way I pictured her, teasing and *almost* happy, but also a little angry. Know what I mean? Her face is perfect, but isn't the leather supposed to cover her whole body, including the arms?

This a very good picture. I already read all of the 14 books which i can buy in German. My facorite character is Zedd, Richard's grandpa. I like his way to see the things. I'm looking forward to see more of your art about "Das Schwert der Wahrheit".

Very interesting. Never read the books myself but this is a very nice picture. Her eyebrows could stand to be a little less arched, I think, but other than that this is very good. I like the uniform, it’s very interesting and the red is a very nice shade. Overall great picture!

I’ve got this crazy friend who loves that series. Henry "Alex" Neimann eat your heart (or lack thereof) out! Sweet drawing!
