SciFi and Fantasy Art: Tribal Girl

This piece has several insperations. First, I've always wanted to creat a tribe of primitive Amazons for the AD&D games I'd run. Second was the Amazon tribe from uhh...~whipser~ Xena. And finally the Coda from the Image Comics Universe. It was originally a colored pencile and ink but I scanned it as b/w to redo the color.

It amazes me that the amazons mastered the art of studded leather, oh well maybe they stole them from passing voyagers. I agree with the feet, they are *unique*.

Hmmm yes I suppose the feet are a bit funky looking ~chuckle~ about the studded leather...I have this vision of a sort of fallen civilization, they still retain alot of their knowledge, especially about the ways of war

She must have a hell of a lot of coordination and balance. I know I wouldn't be able to fight in two inch heels.

From what I've heard of the Amazons, they would burn their right breast tissue before it grew in, so it would never interfere with their archery. That would, however, be a pain in the ass to draw :-p

I know what you mean about the Amazons from Xena, I've drawn a couple things inspired by them too. Hey, I don't watch the show anymore, allright? 2 I like the colored version better, but then, who doesn't like color?

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? I can fight in two inch heels!... geeze.... the nerve...

:-) Harley Black replies: "Hear Hear! Thanks for the props (my word of the day ~lmao~) Yes I've seen women do things in even higher heeled shoes so fighting should be a breez!"
