Are you doing a children's book with the paper cuttings? Do that, get the royalties then do a pop-up book. Not only are you talented enough to pull this off, you will have some good stuff on your resume to help get your novel published. When you do the first children's book, have an appendix with paper cutting instructions and some paper for the kids to cut. I'm an elem./primary educator and I know children would love this.
