| 8 Mar 2004 | Derek ´Hendercrazy´ Henderson | Does the first comment mosh pit dance* Woohoo! Wow, her face is very pretty but definately has an "unearthly" feel about her. The watercolor pencils really seem to give off some nice effects! The watercolor paper itself is a bit distracting but I like it. Have you ever thought about trying bristol board? Just curious. Anyway... glad to see you doing more art! It'd had been awhile since I'd been here. See you later! - Derek Mosh pit comment dancing? Best idea I've heard yet! I'm glad you liked it, even if the thanks if very delayed (again!). Bristol board's got a smoother finish than watercolour card doesn't it? Might try that once my current supplies run out... so I'll just have to do more art! What a shame! Actually, once the ticket comes through (few weeks?) there will be new stuff up (shock horror!). Would love to know what you think ~Hel | |

| 16 Sep 2006 | Tansy Pye | The eyes make her seem mysterious, like she sees through you, or is staring into the elements. About to cast a spell perhaps. Very haunting image. Constructive criticism time; her shoulders are a little too narrow perhaps. A great tip someone once said to me is there is enough room to put a whole other head onto each shoulder. There are some great simple weird measurement things for facial proportions too. like, the face is five eyes wide. Your ears are as long as your nose and streatch from the corner of your eye to the corner of your mouth... Obviously deliberately breaking any of these rules leads to something just ot quite right about the face, which for us fantasy artists is what we're after. Well, the eyes weren't supposed to be that big, but I do like how they look now, like they're almost burning out of her head!Apologies for taking ages to reply btw! | |
