SciFi and Fantasy Art: Mer Chick

The existence of the Mer Chick has until recently been passed off in Chickdom as a myth, a lovely piece of folklore to pass on to ducklings. But now, thanks to the intrepid Sailor Chick, and his journeys through the farthest reaches of the Pond, the existence of the peace loving Mer Chick has now been proved.

Ack, I love it! Helen, this is just toooooooooo cute! ;o) This is a great spin on the mer-creature concept. I'm sure Chick is pleased to find that his empire will extend to the kingdoms below the sea...Or will the Mer Chicks revolt against his peaceful rule?

The Saga continues.....

:-) Helen Pye replies: "Revolt? Who could possibly revolt against Chick's peace? Well, apart from mean and nasty creatures like Buqquus the WarBeaver, that is.
No, the Mer Chicks are just as peaceful as their earth bound cousins - as far as we know anyway! As you said, the saga continues..."

awwwww, its so kawaii! They both need hugs, yes.Kawaii? Sorry, no idea what that means. Thanks, but don't hug them too hard - they might suffocate or something, and that really would be a tragedy.

I love this chick thing you have going. It's really cute and original. I'm sure would be pleased at being referred to as a 'thing'. If he wasn't so peaceful I'd tell you to watch out for his super feather power. (Help! I think I'm getting over obsessed!)
