SciFi and Fantasy Art: Remembering Mara

'Vengence could have sworn that for a moment she saw herself there. But not a Vengence that had lived for a long time. This girl was young, fresh, and vibrant with life. No katana hung at her back, instead, she held a silver pipe to her lips. She stared at the girl standing there by the familiar lake, playing that tune that Vengence had tried so hard to forget. She stared, then blinked, then turned away, but when she looked back, the girl was still there. Vengence jumped when the girl turned, suddenly uneasy after so many years of bitter confidence. The girl smiled, and nodded a greeting, as if she had been expecting Vengence. 'Well met, Vengence of the Nightlillies. I have been waiting for you.' Vengence only stared. 'Do you know who I am?' The girl asked. Slowly, Vengence nodded. 'You...You are...' She choked on the alien feeling of a sob rising in her throat. 'You are Mara.'' Mara has a dream in which she returns to her home, and meets her old self. Again, I used Shinbei as a guide, but it resembles him less this time, at least.

They should be about 4 "head-lengths" long. 3)Your arms are too skinny! 4)She has no shoulders. 5)If you put your hand up to your face it covers a good majority of it. If you do this with hers it barely covers her eye. 6)The flute needs better shading and form. At first I thought it was a dagger. But I must re-itterate. It's a great face. Keep up the good work!
