| 1 Nov 2003 | Rebecca 'TEO' Sennett | *First Comment Victory Dance* Oh wow. Holy Nuts even. A cool creature, notes, compared sizes, history. Just wow. I did one about this horse/eagle/lion thing, it had the front legs of an eagle, back legs of a lion, horse's head, eagle wings, horse's build, lion's tail. Wasn't a hippogryph, but same animals. Go you, I gotta fill up me 2 galleries more as it is. Off to doodle, toodles! Rhyming...how I hate it ^.^;;; | |
| 30 Jun 2004 | J. D. | I like it. As a principle I'm prepared to accept things for game and arty purposes that I would mock severely if they were suggested with a straight face, but this is an adventurous use of quasi-credible biology to support fantasy plot. Good. Also, find if you can Somtow Sucharitkul's 'The Dawning shadow vol 1; The Light on the Sound'; SF novel, which includes a race of blind hunters who have forgotten why they put their own eyes out at puberty. Turns out it's to protect them from the paralysingly intense beauty of the creatures they hunt, which of course they've never actually seen... | |
