| 15 Apr 2002 | Amy | It's cute! I like the green one, it's different from the other two. I like the fact that her wings are a different color then her body, unlike the blue and red one. But the best part is the mushroom, I love them in art! Heidi Hardmeier-Rogers replies: "The mushroom?! Lol." | |
| 27 May 2002 | elfgirl | It's really nice. Did you take lessons in painting before? Cause my backgrounds aren't that nice and I was just wondering. Heidi Hardmeier-Rogers replies: "I've got a lot of experience....I've been freelancing for about five years now. My best advice would be to keep practicing! It always pays off in the end." | |
| 27 May 2002 | M. Pratt | beautiful, its so calm and peaceful, I love the way you drew the wings. I'm only 13 so my pics aren't as nice as yours, but I'd be honored if you had a look. Keep up the good work! -Esmerelda Heidi Hardmeier-Rogers replies: "Thanks, Esmerelda! ^_^" | |
| 15 Sep 2002 | The lucky english child | it's like a far more beautiful version of the three faeries from Sleeping Beauty, i love them all. Heidi Hardmeier-Rogers replies: "Hee hee. Thank you!" | |
| 15 Sep 2002 | D. 'Emera' Chien | What a fun picture! ^_^ I like it muchness. Very bright and languorous atmosphere. Gives me the feeling of a warm, hazy afternoon. Heidi Hardmeier-Rogers replies: "Thank you! : )" | |
| 3 Feb 2003 | Kelly Kruse | Beautiful coloring, Heidi. I envy your ability with paint. I especially love the background, and the reddish fairy. One question, though, why does the green fairy have orange wings, when the others have wings that match? I love their bright colors--a wonderful piece! Great job! Heidi Hardmeier-Rogers replies: "She told me she absolutley HAD to be colorful. =P" | |
| 15 May 2003 | Katharine 'Elf' Strawser-Booth | Beautiful work! One thing I've noticed about your works, however, is you seem to keep attaching the women's breasts to the shoulders or arms. Have you considered just accentuating the main part of the breasts, instead of drawing lines that far up? (Tell me if that part didn't make any sense and I'll try to explain better. It's the sort of thing you show by example, not writing.) Heidi Hardmeier-Rogers replies: "I'm not quite sure what you mean by attaching their breasts to their shoulders or arms...I believe I've placed them properly on their chest. If you take a few figure drawing classes and study the female figure, you'll notice that the muscle under a woman's arm tends to follow the curve of her breast up her underarm. If this isn't drawn in, her breasts tend to look off-kilter and out of place, especially when her arm is lifted or raised...I think you've mistaken this line of muscle for a breast perhaps?" | |
| 20 May 2003 | Penny Bolds | I disagree with that comment by Elf up there...the artist has made a good point. I too have taken figure drawing classes, and a slender woman's underarm tendon extends the line of the breast up under the shoulder and to the underarm bicep when it's lifted or raised. Elf- look in a mirror with your bare arm raised - you'll see what I mean. The artist has all her proportions amazingly correct here. Heidi Hardmeier-Rogers replies: "Quite correct, Penny. Thank you for commenting." | |
